Will the workshop facilitate social distancing and other Covid-19 safety protocols?
Yes! Tables will be spaced apart and each school will have their own table. Tables will be reserved for the entirety of the workshop in order to limit touching of surfaces. All meals served in the Conference Center will be buffet style or boxed. Breakout sessions will be limited capacity to facilitate social distancing. Masks are required, per Great Wolf's policy.

Are we allowed to stay on-site? If so, how many students can stay in a room?
Yes! You can select a room with an Occupancy of 1-6 attendees, with the option to add an Early Arrival Fun Pass (see below). Great Wolf is not limiting the number of households allowed in a room.

Will you be offering the Early Arrival Fun Pass this year?
Yes! Your staff can arrive as early as 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31st to enjoy the Great Wolf Lodge waterpark before the workshop begins. There is no obligation to arrive early.

What activities are there for my staff if we come in early?
Your stay at the Great Wolf Lodge includes wristband access to the indoor waterpark, outdoor pool and an amazing array of slides (lifeguards are on duty). Your staff also has the option to explore the indoor fun area which includes a ropes course, rock-climbing wall, bowling alley, arcade and mini-golf games (available for purchase for $7-15 per activity). There are several restaurants on-site for food and quick snacks: choose from BBQ, chicken fingers and burgers, pizza, and more.

What if we just want to attend the workshop for the day, without an overnight stay?
This year we are offering multiple options for commuters, including a single-day pass, a 2-day pass, and a Cover Session pass. Based on your level of comfort, choose the option that works for you and your school.

Tell me more about the Cover Session Pass.
For schools that simply want to come and work with an artist to design their cover, we suggest the Cover Session pass. The cost is $50 per school with a maximum number of 4 attendees. Spend an hour with us to get your 2023 cover designed and ready to go! Please note all other workshop registration options include a cover session.

What agenda can advisers like me expect at Summer Workshop?
Advisers will have the opportunity to send their students to different presentation rooms for a variety of classes. We will be training on Yearbook Avenue, both Layout Pro and Monarch. There will be an opportunity for advisers to get together to enjoy a roundtable setting alongside one of our amazing tenured advisers who will lead the session.

What time will the workshop end on June 2nd?
The workshop will end by no later than 4:00 p.m. on June 2nd. Commuters can expect each day to wrap up around 4:00 p.m.

What items should my staff and I bring?
For the workshop, please bring a copy of the 2022 yearbook and any materials you feel will help you in the planning process (theme for 2023, ladder, notebook, pens, pencils, etc.). Many attendees like to use their laptops to work on spread designs. Photographers should bring a digital DSLR camera, memory cards, chargers, as well as any lenses and detachable flashes you may have. Don’t forget to bring sweaters for the conference rooms and a bathing suit for the waterpark!

Can I bring members of my family to stay with me and enjoy the park?
Yes, this option is for advisers only, who choose the 1-occupancy room. You may add up to 4 additional members of your family (adults and children) for $25 per night, per member. For example if you wanted a family member to bring 2 children for 1 night, the total cost would be $75. This does not include food or workshop materials. All meals must be purchased separately. Each person staying in the room will receive a wristband to enter the waterpark. You can be invoiced separately if you'd like.

Are parent chaperones welcome to come?
Chaperones are welcome, but must be registered as an attendee and pay the registration fee.

Can students pay online for their individual workshop fee?
Yes, please contact us to receive instructions.

May I use this towards my professional development credits?
Absolutely! We will have more information closer to the workshop.

What is the cancellation policy and would we be refunded?
All registrations must be finalized by April 29th, 2022. No refunds after May 6, 2022.  However, school may replace a yearbook staff member as long as the replacement is the same gender as the previously paid registrant.

I have specific dietary needs?  Will GWL be able to accommodate me?
Yes. Just let us know in advance so we can work with you.

Will you accept credit cards?
We will accept checks, money orders and credit card payments.

Registration and payments after April 29th?
Unfortunately due to Great Wolf policy, NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER MAY 2nd, 2022.
